Here you'll find the best dish with a view, the tastiest meal, cosiest bistro, coolest people watching spot, most authentic foreign cuisine, least authentic local cuisine, most over-rated and most under rated restaurants, a most cultured brunch, best late-night munchies, coffee culture and those important spots where you can enjoy a lingering Sunday afternoon brunch-turned-into-lunch-turned into dinner...

Chocolate Heaven - Thomas Haas

Arguably, this guy is one of the best chocolatiers in Vancouver (and beyond).
While the store is tucked away in a very incospicuous location in North Van, there's always a crowd at this small chocolate making facility/coffe shop/confectionary.

When you walk in to Thomas Haas, you understand where the expression "kid in a candy store" comes from.

Some of the chocolate creations here are truly masterpieces that you'd almost feel guilty in eating. But that guilt disappears as soon as you savour the first bite of chocolate.

If dark chocolate is your thing, as it is ours, you'll probably find yourself trying out the 73% cocao chocolates, followed by the dark chocolate mouse cake which compliments the think hot (dark) chocolate drink.

His creations also make for brilliant gifts - when we went there in December, the chocolate Christmas Cake was a best seller...

Another cool feature is the "secret wall" where small treats are placed to sample from "bricks" that pop out - you can also look through the glass into where the chocolates are beng made.
The Best.
