The Best of Vancouver

Top Marks - Watermark, Kitsilano

Watermark is undoubtably one of Vancouver's best located restaurants.

Situated right on trendy Kits Beach, the deck overlooks the beautiful bodies on the sand, as well as the beautiful snowcapped mountains in the distance that embrace the ocean's chilly waters.

This is definitely not a place to go if you're in a hurry...
The views are just as intoxiating as the cocktails or chilled white wine, that will force you to stay for a couple of hours at least - we went there with the intention of having a light lunch & ended up staying for sundowners, followed by dinner!

Since Vancouver = Salmon, we thought we had to try the west coast salad - no disappointment there - the salmon was delicious, and accompanied by avo, mixed greens & grapefruit, this was a notable dish. Some local BC white wine (bottle 1) washed it down well.
Their crab, spinach and asparagus dip wasn't the best but the prawn spring rolls were yummy.

After three bottles of Pinot Auxerois, desert seemed like a good idea & yet again, we weren't disappointed, with a good fix of chocolately flavours. As per usual, we finished off with a Lavazza espresso, which was not only brewed well but also made for some good photos!
All you need is a sunny day & the rest just sorts itself out... Life is Good.
